PRACTICE AREAS
Priveetha practises in  the areas of corporate and securities law, with particular emphasis on mergers & acquisitions, capital market and corporate finance transactions. She has significant experience in a wide range of corporate and commercial work, which include representing leading local and international merchant banks on various transactions involving issuance of debt securities, equity linked securities and units by real estate investment trusts. She also advises on securitisation transactions and recently was involved in several highly publicised mergers and acquisition and listing exercises.

QUALIFICATIONS
Priveetha completed her tertiary education in Australia and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Bond University, Australia. She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2000. Priveetha was also admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Australia in 2003.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

In 2009, Priveetha was attached with Freehills, Melbourne, one of the largest law firms in Australia. During her stint with Freehills, she was assigned with the responsibility of developing their Islamic finance practice area. Her roles included conducting internal seminars and assisting in structuring Islamic compliant investment products.

Besides being an active practitioner, Priveetha has also presented papers and conducted seminars on current legal topics of interest, such as "Legal Outlook on REIT and the Challenges We Face Today" on the invitation of the Malaysian Bar Council in the year 2007 and “The Principles of Contracts Law” on the invitation of the State Pension Fund in the year 2010.
