Vijay has significant experience in:

Structured Finance, both conventional and Islamic. He has advised on the first Islamic Structured Finance for Property Development in Malaysia.
Hybrid Islamic and Conventional banking facilities for infrastructure projects.
Vessel Financing.
Debt Restructuring of listed companies pursuant to schemes formulated under the auspices of the National Asset Management Corporation. The corporation was established following the Asian Economic crisis.
Vijay heads a team of solicitors whose experience pragmatic and business oriented approach has assisted clients in ensuring regulatory compliance, creating efficient loan structures and balanced risk allocation.

QUALIFICATIONS
Vijay completed his tertiary education in the United Kingdom, and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London, United Kingdom. He was admitted as an Utter Barrister of the Honourable Society of Middle Temple, London, having been called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1985. Vijay was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1986.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Besides being an active practitioner, Vijay often delivers lectures and presents papers on “Debt Recovery” and “Receivers & Managers” for various local leading financial institutions as part of the bank’s internal training for its banking personnel.
